This used to be my home

My name is Massimiliano, but everyone calls me Max. I lived here for ten years. Today I welcome guests here together with my family, with the same care as back then.

Ten years

My home in my single years

I moved in as a single man. For ten years this apartment was my refuge: I came home here after work, cooked dinners for friends, read and worked on the sofa while the light from the courtyard came through the windows.

I chose everything with care: the parquet, the mirrored built-in wardrobes, the jacuzzi tub that was my small luxury after the longest days. I loved this place, and every room holds a memory.

Cinzia, Gioia and a new life

Then came Cinzia, my wife, and soon after Gioia, who is now 8. Our family life moved elsewhere, but leaving this home empty didn't feel right.

So we decided to open it to guests. Not as just another investment, but as a home we are attached to and want to see lived in and well looked after.

Today

We run it together, as a family

Cleaning and turnover are handled by specialised partners: professionals we trust, who follow precise standards at every changeover. We take care of the details. Cinzia runs every stay with me, chooses the linen and checks that the apartment is exactly as we'd want to find it ourselves. I answer messages and calls, even on working days (by trade I'm a CFO for small and medium-sized companies).

Gioia often comes along when we stop by to check on the apartment. And then there's Cremino, the family cat, who is the one really in charge.

The shared garden is beautifully kept and it's one of the reasons guests come back. I have to admit the credit isn't mine: I have no green fingers, and my plants know it all too well.

Travellers too

We know what it's like to arrive in a new city

I studied in Milan, Rome and Paris, and together we've travelled a lot: from Cuba to South Africa, from the Galápagos to Florida, and much more. We know what it means to arrive tired somewhere new.

That's why we try to offer what we'd like to find ourselves: a clean, welcoming home, a comfortable bed and someone who replies quickly, in Italian or English.

«We have one habit with our guests: making them feel at home. In this case, our home.»
